The guys over at Cambr West decided it was time to revamp the bike park! Check some photos from all the work, and a little video!

Holy hell those guys sure know how to dig fast! First build day at the bike park went off with out a hitch it looks like! Ben Blitch is in town for the week building. In two days they got a beautiful looking pump track already done and rideable! Props to the guys at CORP for doin’ this! I’ll be headed up there from Chicago this coming weekend. Be sure to check back for some video of the pump track!

More new stuff

Another great day of trail-building went down today in Red Wing, MN. The new ending was buffed and we closed off the clear right line in the rock garden which should make that section a little more challenging come race day. But the most fun thing we build today in my opinion was a new jump in upper section. It is located after the first switchback, before the rock garden, between the two jumps. We also added a new step-up landing to the first jump in that section.

I’m really excited about this new addition. If you hit the first step-up clean the whole thing flows really well. Don’t worry if you’ll not quite up for attempting the gap yet, the whole thing is safely rollable.

Thanks to Josh, Matt, Nate, Nick, Thor and Tony for all the hard work today. Thanks to Tim for helping us test it out.

First Grill ‘n Chill of the Summer

The first Grill ‘n Chill of the summer went down at the Red Wing DH course on Saturday. Reports are sketchy as to whether or not any grilling actually went down, but my sources tell me that there was copious amounts of chilling. There were also reports of trail building taking place in the area, but at this time we have no pictures to confirm that.

What we do have are some awesome photos by Ben Berndt.

Please post here if you can confirm or deny if there was in fact grilling and/or trailbuilding that took place at this event. »

Trail building photos from last weekend

I’ve been slacking on posting last weekends trail-building photos, but here they finally are. I’m impressed with the amount of dirt that five guys can move in a day. Once the landing gets finished this section is going to be fast!

New Log Ride completed

Yesterday we were able to cross off the first to-do item for the still unnamed Red Wing DH trail. The new log ride has a ladder bridge entrance, a main line that ends in a short drop and a bailout skinny that is probably harder than the main line.

It is a blast to ride but a little tricker than I first thought. While Tony rode it clean the first time through, I probably fell off it as many times as I rode it clean.
